I had booked a bus ticket with Collector Office as the boarding point, as only that boarding point was shown during booking. Normally, buses departing from VirudhnagarBypass allow passengers to board there, so I booked the ticket expecting to board at VirudhnagarBypass. About one hour before departure, the bus attendant called me and I informed him that I would board at VirudhnagarBypass. He agreed and said it was okay. However, about 10 minutes before the scheduled departure, he called again and instructed me either to board at a location about 1 km away from VirudhnagarBypass or at the original boarding point, Collector Office. This sudden change caused considerable stress and inconvenience. The reason given was that the government would impose a penalty if passengers boarded at the depot. However, when I enquired with higher officials, I was informed that no such penalty existed. Further, the driver spoke to me in a rude and discourteous manner, which added to my distress. I request that this matter be examined and appropriate instructions be issued to avoid such inconvenience and mental stress to passengers in future. Boarding point in VirudhnagarBypass service road is safe and benefit for passengers.
