To honour the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the Indian Railways has introduced Vivek Express. It is a series of long-distance trains that connect some of the farthest regions of India, improving long-distance rail connectivity. The Dibrugarh - Kanyakumari Vivek Express is the longest train route in India, covering about 4,189 km and taking more than 70 hours to complete its journey.
